Some 120-plus pounds ago, my face was … well… much rounder than it is now. Cheeks, neck, they all had plenty of extra fat to them that for all the other issues involved with being overweight, it kinda made for an easy shave.
Remember the old Norelco commecial with Santa “sledding” down the gentle slopes in a Norelco razor head? Yea, think of that. Even without an electric razor, the blade had plenty of gently rolling curves to follow. I could almost shave in my sleep and not worry. Actually, I think I sometimes did on those mornings I couldn’t seem to quite wake up.
But now…
I have a jaw. My face is thinner than it was in high school. There are hard corners and actual angles to my face.
I haven’t cut myself yet, but I am having to pay more and more attention or I miss those areas just under the chin.. and yea, I know. It’s a tough problem to have, ain’t it? But for those of you out there that are working on being a former fat dude, this is one I figured you should get a heads up as it’s one of those things you get to “look forward to”.

Congrats on your new angles dude!
Love the old Norelco pic!
