And We Have A Winner!

Actually – we have a few of them! I’m talking about the results of my Dash From Obesity fund raising. It’s for that that I went through this

Climbing Out Of The Mud

And it was worth it. It was all for a good cause… three of them in fact. The Obesity Action Coalition, the WLSFA, and the Turn the Tide Foundation. While I did better in the Dash than I expected, I didn’t do as well as I hoped with my fund raising… BUT, I did raise a few hundred bucks… thanks to the folks that generously donated.  Also, I have to once again thank all the great sponsors that stepped up and donated prizes for this. I’m hoping to work with them all again in the future and do even bigger and better things.

And another thank you to the folks at BariatricTV for sponsoring my entry fee and giving me the inspiration to do this whole thing to begin with.

Alright… now… as it turns out, I had more prize packages than I did people that donated. So I changed things up a lil bit. I assigned the eight folks that donated a number 1 through 8 in the order that their entries came in, then using the random sequence generator at random.org I basically shuffled the deck. I gave each person that entered their pick of the prize they wanted… with first choice going to the person picked first, second pick to the second person, etc.

First drawn was Flo – and she picked Prize Package #1

Prizes #1: The one and only Diva Taunia, with some help from Bariatric Advantagehas donated not one. Not two. But THREE prize packages, each with a value over well over $100. These packages include the following:

Donna picked prize #6

Susan grabbed up #4

All the winners have been notified, I’m working with the sponsors to get things shipped out to you. Not everything will be coming at once in the case of those getting items from multiple sponsors.

Thanks again everyone… and while I don’t know if I’ll do the fund raising, I am already looking forward to doing the Warrior Dash again next year.

About Rob

I had RNY Gastric Bypass on April 8, 2009. I went from my heaviest of over 380 down to a low of 188 (for about a day!) before working on rebuilding muscle and such. Now I maintain at about 205. WLS has changed my life in so many ways, including my career as I now tackle nutritional coaching and other obesity education issues.
